Seldom do I come across a blog that’s equally educative and
engaging, and without a doubt, you have hit
the nail on the head. The issue is something too few people are speaking intelligently about.

Now i’m very happy I came across this during my search for something regarding this.

I was *not* wearing my glasses. I failed to get my egg yolks cooked thoroughly after hard boiling. I didn’t want to go through the mess of having to reboil water and all. I thought I could simply microwave the yolks alone.

As I was making deviled eggs, I just threw the yolks into a dish and zapped it. Simple enough, right? Wrong. The second I put the yolks into the mayonnaise/mustard mixture I had prepared in my newly found free time, I was created with a loud boom. My hair, eyes, face, EVERYTHING was covered in egg yolk, mustard, and mayonnaise.

Big mistake.

I only wish someone had been taping to capture the look of “WTF???” as the yolk exploded!

Ameena — just make sure you poke the yolk and you should be fine! I just saw that Atlanta is getting a Sprinkles. God help me . . .

Biz — I’ve never microwaved a whole egg, just beaten ones for quickie omelets. Lesson learned!
