Sorry for not posting in a while, I started my new job last week and boy did they put me to work!\u00a0 I ended up being asked to come in on Saturday and of course being new, didn’t say no.<\/p>\n

Anyway, it seems like there’s barely any time at the end of the day to eat dinner, relax, etc. I haven’t done so well on the packing lunch and making dinner fronts and ended up eating out quite a bit.\u00a0 Hopefully I’ll get back in the swing of things soon.<\/p>\n

But today I have decided to forgo TV time so I can have a lovely chat with you!\u00a0 So selfless of me!<\/p>\n

So I was randomly\u00a0 craving chocolate-covered toffee bars this weekend.\u00a0 In my experience that’s either a Skor or Heath bar, I have no clue if there are any other brands out there.\u00a0 For some reason, Skor seems to belong more to my childhood while Heath bars seem more recent for me.\u00a0\u00a0 I saw both at CVS the other day and wondered if there was a discernable difference between the two.\u00a0 And yeah I could Google “Skor vs Heath” and read what others had to say, but then I would be depriving myself of a taste-test.<\/p>\n

Here’s the break-down of my oh-so-scientific test (and please forgive the crappy pictures):<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Skor\u00a0 — <\/strong>very crunchy, more pronounced buttery taste to the toffee, more of a “toffee” taste (salty\/caramel).<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Heath<\/strong> — crumbly, nice contrast between the saltiness of the toffee and the milk chocolate, toffee taste is more understated.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

Mr. Spice’s verdict was that they both tasted the same to him and they both tasted rich.\u00a0 Methinks this is because he’s been shunning dairy for a while (he’s way more lactose intolerant than me) and so the buttery taste of the toffee and the milk chocolate seemed stronger to him.\u00a0 He said he wouldn’t eat a ton of either but that they weren’t bad.<\/p>\n

My verdict?\u00a0 They both taste similar at first, but after the 2nd or 3rd bite, I really liked the more pronounced toffeeness of the Skor bar and I liked the crunch factor.\u00a0 I remember them being hard and crunchy and they didn’t disappoint.\u00a0 Heath isn’t bad at all and probably is a bit easier to find, especially if you want the fun-size bars, but if I really had to choose, I would get Skor over Heath.\u00a0 And here’s a surprise twist — they are both Hershey’s products!<\/p>\n

Now the important question:\u00a0 Which do you prefer, Skor or Heath?<\/strong><\/p>\n
