*CLOSED* Late July Organic Multigrain Snacks Review and Giveaway

Nothing makes this girl happier than to come home to a big box of chips.

Mr. Spice saw the box and shook his head, since I pretty much have a box from Amazon every week. Whatever. When I told him it was samples for the blog it seemed to mollify him a bit, but only just a little.

Meanwhile, I was really excited. As part of Stonyfield Organic’s Clean Plate Club, I had signed up to participate in a challenge involving Late July Organic Multigrain snacks and creating a dip recipe using Stonyfield Organic yogurt. In return, we got to sample all 7 flavors of the Late July Organic Multigrain snack line: Red Hot Mojo, How Sweet Potato It Is, Sea Salt By the Seashore, Mild Green Mojo, Sub Lime, Dude Ranch, and Summertime Blues. Plus they threw in a few extra bags, so I was cool with that.

Now you know how I am about my salty snacks.  Pretty much any size bag has the potential to be a single-size serving bag for me, which is not such a good thing.  However, I can console myself with the knowledge that if I indulge in these chips, they’re better for me — organic, gluten-free, 100 % whole grains, no trans-fats.  Anything to justify my piggyness! What?

Anyway, I ended up creating a trio of Southwest-inspired yogurt and bean dips which I posted here.  Since I was highlighting the dips, I chose to use the Sea Salt By the Seashore and Summertime Blues chips to use as my dippers.  Even though these were the “plain” chips out of the bunch, they still had plenty of flavor on their own because of the mix of multigrains, plus I liked that they were sturdy and had plenty of crunch to stand up to the dips.

About a week later, when we were snowed in, I was looking for a way to spice up some turkey chili I’d made and decided to pair the Red Hot Mojo and Mild Green Mojo chips to see which one went better.  I have to say, I liked them both.  The Green Mojo had green chile, cheese, and a bit of lime that provided lots of flavor and subtle heat.  The Red Hot Mojo had a fiery blend of jalapenos and red peppers that added heat to the chili.  I don’t think you could go wrong with either.

We’ve snacked on the Dude Ranch and Sub Lime chips and have really liked those as well.  If you want a healthier substitute for Cool Ranch Doritos, then you’re covered. And if you’re like me and like those Hint of Lime Tostitos, then you’re good too.  I haven’t had a chance to try out the How Sweet Potato it Is chips yet, and I’m very curious about how they integrated the sweet potato flavor into the chips.  Maybe make some healthy nachos with these?

Anyway, I’ve had fun trying out the various flavors and now I’m excited to give you guys the opportunity to do so as well!  One of you will win your own sampler of Late July Organic Multigrain Snacks as well as coupons for Stonyfield Organic yogurt!

I drop a leave a response each time I appreciate a article on a website or if I have something

I was actually moved enough to leave a commenta response 😛 I actually do have a
couple of questions for you if it’s allright.
Is it simply me or does it look like like some of these
responses appear like they are written by brain dead individuals?
😛 And, if you are posting on other places, I would
like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post.
